As established by the GWASA Family Constitution — 2026 Edition
GWASA Family is governed through the Board of Trustees, the Alumni Executive Committee, and specialized departments, each with clear mandates under the Constitution. Members of the Executive Committee are elected for a five (5) year term, with elections held on the first Monday of March of the electioneering year.
Upholds the fiduciary duty to protect all the organization's assets and funds, and oversees the association's operations in the public interest.
Elected leaders who run the association: Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Treasurer, Vice Treasurer, Secretary, Vice Secretary, Organizing Secretary and Deputy Organizing Secretary.
Independent departmental heads (HoDs), led by the Chief Head of Departments, run the day-to-day functions of the family.
Provides overall leadership and direction of the Association.
Deputizes the Chairperson in all functions.
Custodian of the Association's funds, financial records and reporting.
Assists the Treasurer in financial management.
Keeper of records, minutes and official communication.
Deputizes the Secretary.
Coordinates events, meetings and re-union activities.
Assists the Organizing Secretary.
Manages funds, savings, loans, investments and project strategy, guided by departmental by-laws.
Manages communication, publicity and the public image of GWASA Family.
Handles member registration, retention and membership records.
Coordinates member welfare, benevolence contributions and support during bereavement.
Handles disciplinary matters and upholds the dignity of the Association.
Ensures open, transparent financial reporting and ethical compliance.
Advises on legal matters, elections and constitutional compliance; appoints the Special Elections Debate Committee (SEDC).
